POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:   Our client is a successful, long established developer of professional audio and video systems.  They currently need a Project Leader, Video Technology who will function as a central contact and Project Leader for the development of new products for the digital video and broadcast DTV markets.  The position requires research and planning skills for defining new product specifications, assessing market requirements (both technical and business) and planning market launches.  Assess existing DTV equipment and systems in order to define a plan to bring company products successfully into the market.  You must understand HDTV broadcast and reception technology and image enhancement technologies presently being employed, including compressing schemes.  Should know supplier and broadcast personnel and understand all regulatory and government restrictions and impositions.  Recommend R&D direction for development of new products and prepare budget requirements for the R&D program.  Manage client relationships at the senior corporate level.

SALARY RANGE:    $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus and stock plan
QUALIFICATIONS: Six years of technical and business experience in digital video and broadcast TV.
EDUCATION:  B.Sc. in Engineering or Business
EXPERIENCE:   Extensive knowledge both in digital video / HDTV technology and in production operations of a broadcast network, both technical and business knowledge of core technology of consumer DTV receiver technology from major suppliers.
