POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:   Our client is an international freight forwarder with physical representation in over 100 countries and annual revenues that exceed $1 billion. They have a wide breadth of services that include air, ocean, transborder, special projects, customs and much more. They have a strong client base, a long history of success, a solid balance sheet, and an impressive IT infrastructure.

The tremendous resources that they can bring to bear worldwide has allowed them to secure a number of very large substantial clients to whom they provide a complete and total logistical solution. Currently, one of these substantial global clients is being spearheaded out of the Vancouver office. In order to ensure the complete satisfaction of this very important customer my client wishes to hire an individual who will be devoted 110% to addressing their customer’s every need.

We are looking for someone who possesses the sales/customer service/people skills to build and strengthen relationships in addition to growing the business from within. We are looking for someone who has excellent Freight Forwarding operational skills in order to direct and contribute to the actual successful movement of the required freight. Finally, we are looking for someone with incredible organizational skills who can keep track of and streamline an account which is spectacular in its complexity. Each file is very large and you must be able to understand and capably address every issue within each file.

This customer imports and exports globally. Freight to and from their sites in North America largely flows through the ports at Long Beach and Vancouver and all billing, scheduling, and general paperwork is handled by the Vancouver office. Obviously a thorough knowledge of Ocean Freight and Marine Law is very important. Past experience with the subtle nuances involved with the movement of metal would also be an asset.
