POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:   Our client is a well established Toronto based producer of a unique traffic control device.  They need a motivated Sales Engineer to represent their products to city, town, provincial and state government Traffic Departments.  Territory will include Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.  The product increases the efficiency of existing traffic control systems and is best sold on a demonstration basis, so a knowledge of existing traffic control systems, data communications and wireless technology is almost essential.  The successful candidate will have sold technical products to municipal, state and provincial governments, ideally to the traffic control authorities.  Because of the complexity of the city traffic control systems, you must be able to demonstrate the value of the product – ease of installation and maintenance, scalability, etc.

SALARY RANGE:    $60,000 to $80,000, plus commission
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in sales of traffic control equipment in Canada and the USA
EDUCATION:  B.Sc.EE or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:   Successful sales of design-in electronic equipment to municipal government authorities.
