April 28th is a day like no other. It is the National Day of Mourning (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board – WSIB)

April 28th is the National Day of Mourning. A day to remember and honour those workers who have died, been injured or suffered illness in the workplace. It is also a day the WSIB renews its commitment to the promotion of healthy and safe workplaces and the prevention of future fatalities. As a visible tribute to the day, the CN Tower will be lit in yellow – a colour symbolic of hope – at sunset on April 28th.
